Well, I've really been growing up quickly, and I think I'm old enough to tell my own story now. So here's what I've been up to during my first week in the world.
I've really gotten to love bath time--especially when mommy washes my hair. I also love my hooded towel.

This week, I've been working on opening my eyes really wide and studying the world. There are sure a lot of interesting things to look at!

...Although some of the things I see in New York City make me a little skeptical of my decision to come into this world...

On Saturday, I told my parents that I was no longer a newborn, since I had lost my umbilical cord. That means that now they'll let me take big kid baths!

As a little lady, I've been practicing crossing my legs.

On Friday morning, I woke up with an eye infection in my right eye. So mommy and daddy bundled me up and took me to the doctor, where I got some antibiotics. Even though I didn't like the doctor looking into my eyes with the bright light, or taking my temperature, it wasn't such a bad trip--in fact, we found out that I've already grown to 6 lbs. 8 oz. That's a half pound in only four days! It was pretty cold on Friday, so I had to wear my bunting bag with the cute little ears. It kept me plenty warm.

On Saturday, I took a trip with mom, dad, and grandma to Katz's Deli. It was my first time out in my stroller. I enjoyed getting buckled in, and I enjoyed riding in the stroller. They tell me it was a beautiful day and that it was really noisy in the deli, but I slept through most of the outing.

One thing I've become really good at this week is sleeping. I probably spend more time doing that than anything else! And mom has finally gotten me to sleep in my cradle.

Last night, I only woke up once during the night to feed! I was really tired!

Sometimes, I sleep on mommy's chest and rest my forehead on my hands.

But most of the time, especially at night, they swaddle me up so that my arms won't wake me up.

I've had a great week!

Olivia is a good writer! She not only looks like her father, she also writes like him. Funny thing the way those things run in the family.
Wow! Talk about some long feet. Does that mean she's a born runner? :)
So cute! She has long feet!! That is funny. Keep the pictures coming!
HOLY COW, DANIEL!!! I need to check this blog more often. Here you've gone and become half of a parental unit, and I didn't even know about it! Wow, Olivia is beautiful. I read Andrea's birth story. What a woman! My mode of delivery is to have the children cut out, so...I really have to hand it to the ladies who do it the old-fashioned way. (Those of us who resort to drugs often try to reassure ourselves that it "doesn't make me any less of a woman," but...um, yes it does.) Anyway, I hope I'll get to meet this little gem in person one day -- and that you and Andrea will love parenthood as much as Logan adn I do! Congrats!
very cute. good job guys. pretty sure i've yet to congratulate you on the child since she has arrived, so congrats to both.
I've sure enjoyed reading about little Olivia. She is really a beautiful baby, and I don't hand out those comments liberally! It looks like you two were made for parenthood. Congratulations and enjoy every moment!
